Any idea on cost of ferrule and tip replacement back to factory specs on ob2 shaft. Anyone in Michigan that does good work? The ferrule is separating
 
They wont if the Carbon Fiber Pad is GONE!

OB will fix it but not under Warranty and Not for Free, If the Pad is GONE, you will be paying for the repairs!!


Make sure that another cue repairman did not remove the carbon fiber pad, if they did, You will pay for another ferrule and Pad and Tip replacement.

For the 1st Gen OB Shafts, Ferrule, Pad and Tip replacement range from

$50.00 to $70.00

Depends on Tip Wanted

I can fix it, but i'm in California. OB can direct you to someone in Mich. It's funny because someone I already knew called them and Royce sent them to me. The one I had fixed had been tampered with and the pad was missing. I can't tell you exact pricing, but expect more than 40.00 and less than 100.00 with a new tip. It's removing the old ferrule, clean the tenon, machine the new one to fit properly, apply pad, apply tip, machine flush with current OD of shaft, and finish dressing tip.

That is labor...then the price of the actual ferrule, carbon fibre pad, and tip.

If the ferrule has begun to separate from the shaft itself , you should stop playing with it. That can cause the the shaft to split.....

Call OB first, and describe the situation accurately, as, if no one has done anything incorrectly to the cue, and the pad is intact, it should be under warranty if you are the original owner. Just having a tip changed will not void the warrantee, but changing the tip and removing the pad will.
