Just noticed the thread stating they have added Allison Fisher so a huge congratulations to her and OB! On a sadder note though I noticed that on the team OB webpage Alex is no longer listed. Did they drop him? Just curious.

I actually looked at their page yesterday for something and he was listed. They apparently just took him off. I would assume that means he is no longer a player representative.

Looks like it. She now has top billing and Alex is nowhere to be found. I get the feeling that he doesn't do much to support the brand (visibility at tournaments and other industry events BCA/APA/TAP etc). In the end it's a business and OB needs exposure. Sorry to see but I'm sure AF will do them proud.

Yeah...shame..

Yeah its true he hasn't really been playing much in the tournament scene, but when the big ones came around I always figured he'd show. Alex is still probably one of the most entertaining and probably the most well rounded player today. From 9ball to 10ball to one pocket to even snooker. Still a shame if they dropped him or he left. Business as usual I guess...

The OB Sponosrship is on hold until Alex decides what he is going to do... He took the break in the Philippines where he dropped off the map and when he returned he announced he was going to try professional snooker.... If and when Alex returns to pool I am sure Shane and Royce will welcome him back into their fold... He is good for the game so I hope it's not IF and only WHEN....

I hope Alex is happy and making money. But being one of my favorite players to watch, I hope he returns to tournament play soon :)

Thanks for the congratulations, we are very happy to have Allison as a part of our team.

Alex and OB parted ways very amicably with respect to him being an OB sponsored player. Alex actually contacted us through his manager earlier in the year stating that he wanted to focus more on Snooker and less on pool. He did not feel comfortable receiving compensation from OB for a pool sponsorship when he was basically not playing any pool, which was very admirable. It obviously didn't make sense for us to continue to sponsor Alex as a pool player when he wasn't playing any pool so we agreed to part ways.

We wish Alex the best of luck in his Snooker career and we hope that he makes it all the way to the top. We all know that he has the heart to be successful in whatever he puts his mind to. If Alex decides to come back to playing pool full time then I am sure the OB Team and Team Pagulayan will be having another conversation regarding sponsorship in the future. Until then, we will continue to watch and support Alex in his Snooker (and Pool) endeavors!

I would think the solution is simple, make a snooker cue for him :)

Hmm, maybe Alex will give me a bargain price on his OB121 butt. Don't want the shaft because he uses a Classic Pro and I prefer the OB2.

But when I say "Bargain" I mean with a capital "B".

I hope everyone prospers:) that's awesome that Alex contacted you and informed you of his present plans! Very wise thing to do. It's awesome to see, especially coming from one of my favorite players:)

Good luck to all involved, and congratulations to Allison:)

Anyone know what cue he will be using for snooker?

I use an OB pro for snooker & english billiards, and the others aren't laughing no more.
