Was wondering if anyone has any feedback on these shafts? I just pulled the trigger and got one. I don’t like carbon fiber shafts too much. But I heard a lot of great things about the torified wood shafts being close to carbon fiber. But with a hit similar to maple.

I've hit a few kielwoods. I didn't see the big deal about them. To me it made a strange 'tonky' sound. Played ok. They are lighter than reg. maple and can effect the cue's balance. Deflection was slightly less than reg. maple.

you dont like carbon fiber shafts but your trying to buy something close to one?
I want the low deflection of a carbon fiber without carbon fiber lol. I don’t like the feel on carbon fiber. I just heard kielwood deflects less then regular maple shafts. I know of the sound of kielwood. I’ve shot once with one. I like it way more then carbon fiber.

It's a great shaft and the 11.8 I've personally been using for at least the last 7 or 8 years. Switched from the 12.8.

Cool thank you for the feedback. I’m looking forward to getting mine. Their site says they’re 2-3 weeks out on the 5/16x18 shafts. So now it’s waiting time 😔😔

For me, it's huge. Less deflection with the 11.8, and more precise aiming/hitting on the cue ball for me as well. The 12.8 feels like a tree trunk now, lol
how big of a difference do you see between 11.8 and 12.8?
