OB1 question

I've recently been playing an OB1 shaft and I really like the way it plays, except...

...it doesn't glide as smoothly through my bridge hand as well as some other shafts I've used. It wants to slightly stick to my hand. If I wash my hands just before I play it's a little better, but still not as smooth as other shafts. Same with hand chalk, it helps a little. I've been considering using a glove, but I've never even thought about a glove with other shafts.

Does anyone else have this issue? How did you deal with it?

If it's the original shaft with the laminated pieces, that can happen with those, the lamination in some parts can be a bit rough, if you take it to a good cue repair person or a cue maker, they will be able to smooth it out some and seal it nicely for you.

I vaguely remember this with my old ob1. It goes away with time and you can help the process along by grabbing a bottle of cue silk or similar product. Also like others have said a small refinish/burnish and reseal may do wonders.
