The cameron post has created allot of great discussion on what goes on when your trying to pocket that darn ball into the hole and what one should look at when pulling the trigger.
What I want to know tho/is when a good/great player says the balls looked as big as grapefruits and in essence is saying the game is easy and they can't miss. Is that perspective given to him/her because the object ball is what they are talking about or is it the cue ball ?

Your right about that, you do not want the CB to look big like a grapefruit.

However, when in stroke - zone , the OB will look very clear and shots that normally seem further away seem very close. Yes the OB does seem bigger and all these things happen because of your focus is on the OB. Even the point of contact is very quickly picked and your eyes just see at as you stroke to it, no matter of BHE, curve and .. those things seem to happen by themselves. It is a great feeling and the stronger the player the more often this happens.

When this happens it is a moment to enjoy, because every shot seems to fall and position is so natural and perfect.
