Hi I was just wondering...is there any way to make a cue with a linen wrap, wrapless, say with an ebony handle? I don't know if this is possible but I'm really curious. I have a Richard Harris BEM cue with a black linen wrap and I kinda want it wrapless? Is this possible/remotely good idea, could it damage the cue? please let me know. I know i could have someone spray finish over the wrap and it would feel like a wrapless cue; is this my only option would it decrease the value?
Thanks,

Any thing can be done to a cue but an ebony handle would be a rather expensive option as the cue would need major work for this to be done. The wrap could be dyed black and a finish put over it as a cheaper alternative. If done correctly, it is hard to discern a black wrap from ebony under a finish.

What rhncue said is exactly & precisely right ... A solid black wrap can be made to look black as coal ... sand and seal and finish is relatively easy ...Other wise it will be expensive to deconstruct the cue and replace the handle ...

Because of the cue in question, I wouldn't have anything changed unless you went thru Richard himself.
