hey guys

i have a customer with what i think is a odd request. but trying to tell my self the customer is always right and explaining i didn't agree with his idea, i said i would go ahead and change his tip. the tip he wants is a ice breaker and not on his break cue but his meucci player!!! do you guys have any opinions or odd requests to share?

I had a guy come to me at a tourney I was working.
He asked if I knew why his cue sounded funny on every shot.
I looked at if and it was a break cue with a phenolic tip
I asked if he was shooting or breaking and he said that it was his playing cue :)
Someone sold it to him earlier in the day, he had been playing with it all day not realizing that it was a break cue.

tip choice

had a fellow a few years ago ask me to replace the ferrule and round it on the end ,he did'nt want any tip on it.

I used to play with a Chandivert Rocky. It was insanely hard. It would barely hold chalk. I loved the feel of the hit. Back then, I had the technique to put it to use as a player. I could draw a table length from a table length away with it. If that's what your customer wants, let him have it. He may be a better judge of what he can use than most players.
