i have an action case, and its faired well for me until..... i put my predator in there for about a year, and about an inch from the bottom of the shaft, im getting a green ring. the same color you get from normal use. the only thing is that its clearcoated there. so, either the shaft was improperly clearcoated, or its because my case is press fitted and my butt and shaft only go in one way and it "wore" off the clear in that circumfrence. im getting an instroke, but my g/f wants a case for her b-day. so are there any inexpensice hard cases that arent press fitted? a 2x4 preferably. i have to say this. i sent it back to predator and they are sending me a brand new shaft. thank you in advance

Why not get her an Instroke as well? The Premier 2x4 runs $169 retail and can be found for less at several places online.

That said I would reccomend the J&J case that looks like a Whitten. They are usually sub-100 dollars. The compartments are basically formed by a nylon lining sewn together in slots. It is a light duty tube case with no pressure on the components.

For the Instroke Premier www.cuesight.com For the J&J www.jjcue.com

Or for just a little bit more, the Instroke GEO is an excellent case
