Blud,
Question about the pearlescent rods used to make rings similar to what Viking uses. When using them in lengths of around 3-4 inches, would you recommend coring them with a maple dowel all the way thru and then slip it on or just core it a portion of the length? I noticed that Viking has some cues without a butt cap and has the pearlescent from the handle to the bumper.
I was just wondering what the best method (in your opinion) would work.
Thanks Blud,
Zim

They are made of plastic. Just bore them out slip them on the butt seleve tennon, and turn cut the cue, and wet sand and spray on the finish.

Celtic, yes, I do work. [nothing wrong with your humor] ...

Janice and I have been married for 43 years, and have had less than 2 weeks vacation in all these years. We both like to work.I normally work about 14 hours a day. When i get to hit the road, I dearly love it. When home, burn up the hours in the shop, building cues and machines. I design my own CNC machines, so this does help with time. The dumb, dumb stuff, like, cutting rings, tappering shafts and butts, I have machines do those things, however, when it comes to cleaning pockets and parts, I use the optie visors, and glasses and sit down for quite a spell, and do it. Then comes time to glue the parts and then start this all over again. It's fun, so when having fun, who's looking at the clock.

Celtic, come on down, i just yesterday cancled a trip to Japan in late nov. [i was going to swim over younder]....hee hee ,,

I'll be teaching a friend how to repair cues the first coulpe weeks of dec. from then on it's open.
