Offical wpbl bonus ball teams and rosters

All matches will be played at the new WPBL arena in Las Vegas. It's a12,000 sqft (i think) billiard studio that resembles what you'd see at the Mosconi Cup, but with 12x 9' tables. It's currently under renovation and will be ready in a few weeks.

I heard somewhere that the tables were going to be 10 footers. Why the change?

Thanks..

It is legal on the re-break to pocket the Bonus Ball into any pocket. This rule allows a player a 50% better chance to hit the rack. We want the game to flow. If your just shooting the Bonus Ball on a sequence then it has to be in your own pocket and if it is to win a game, even on re-breaking, it must be your own pocket!

Thanks for the clarification, it's the only thing that had me confused and i could not find the answer in the rules.

5 x 10's for Bonus Ball was thought about long before Diamond made theirs! Earl was in our ear on that four years ago. After watching the players play our 9' footers, we decided that the game of Bonus Ball is not going to be run-out all the time by the professionals and why would we need to put them on a more difficult table? We have saddled them with a much more difficult game. Larry also liked the thought of a larger table for filming purposes until we tried the grey cloth and then saw how well it filmed. Every one knows the light colors look bigger. The television executives really were happy with our look. The tables do make for a challenging game when playing Bonus Ball.

5 x 10's are the past and we feel for now, we want the 9' tables to start. Season two, we may re-visit that and any other area that may need to be reviewed. Today, we are now going to roll with what we feel will best entertain you. Watching professional players missing too many tough shots is not entertaining either. One pocket is a very slow version of Bonus Ball! It is awesome and strategic game to play but holy, I find it hard to watch!

I hope this helps explain why we are starting off in a different direction that we talked about before. Obviously, everyone else forgot to tell Rodney! LOL He is a monster on both tables. We played on the 5 x 10 at Best Billiards and he made it look pretty easy...until I forced him away from a routine shape shot that you see so much of now. Make them bank and they will miss! Still, the best shooter will always win a Bonus Ball match. There are no flukes and the game is long enough that the better shooter will win! I'm positive you will know who is the best player in billiards after our first season!

The WPBL is a professional league. It is playing a new game called Bonus Ball. Forget so much that it's Bonus Ball. That's just another billiard game! Concentrate whether we are entertaining you. Concentrate that this is the professional billiard league! It's a baby and it will continue to get better every match out. Forget about what game they are playing and have an open mind! Is this fun and entertaining? Are you learning some exciting shots like Corey puled off in our video!? (He is an amazing talent) Do you enjoy going through our wicked statistical program! (only three people know about it) I was complimented on for being a genius for creating this program for billiards? Scoreboards, shot clocks and wicked lighting and a lot of noise from the fans appreciating what they are watching! Yes, a lot of this league is going be different than anything you have ever seen. Just enjoy your first ever professional billiard team league! Go Toronto Blue Sharks! Someday, I want them to have their own venue! I would love to see 12 venues like Las Vegas but first we have to see if this is what the pool fans want and then does this interest the not so fanatic pool fan. If the answer is no, Bonus Ball will still continue to grow. It's simply a fun and exciting game to play! Watch our FREE previews! www.playbonusball.com or www.wpbl.tv

Your welcome! I appreciate all questions! I try to answer most of them but this would be easier if Nathan and I weren't running CRAZY WITH THE PRODUCTION RIGHT NOW!

If you don't get a satisfactory answer, email at barry@playbonusball.com I am more likely to see questions there! Chasing these threads is a full time job!
