I think science would say otherwise man. The smaller the tip, the more you need to be center to avoid miscuing ( striking the cue ball where the angle drops off and hitting the miscue limit). The bigger tip will miscue less as it has a larger area to play with before hitting said limit.
Science says: with the same curvatures, a smaller tip is identical to a larger tip with a tiny outer layer removed. Tip contacts inside the miscue limit have identical margins of error. The only difference is how close to the tip's edge you have to hit at the miscue limit on the CB, which also makes very little if any difference.

Precisely. So with larger tips you can mover further to the edge without miscuing. Albeit small difference in measurement, you can feel it when your used too a larger/smaller tip.

I play with a 10mm tip and can hit right on the miscue limit without miscuing - same as any larger tip. Here's a diagram showing 10mm vs 12.75mm tips with dime vs. nickel curvatures and how close to the outer edge each of them must hit at the miscue limit. The 10mm tip hits right on its edge, but doesn't miscue.

This is assuming a level and dead straight shot.

When viewed along the line the CB will initially travel (stick angle minus squirt), centerball and the miscue limit are the same for any cut angle or cue elevation: ~halfway from center to edge of the CB as viewed from there.

I don't think tip size directly affects CB control or the need for cueing accuracy. However, I use a very small tip (10mm) and one of the things I like about it (other than low squirt) is that it gives me a better look at where I'm hitting the CB - I consider that effect "indirect".

"Aim small, miss small" is one of the sayings we have all heard. A small tip really makes me think about where I'm striking the cue ball (as opposed to just generally something like "a little low"). I suppose that's good.

That's great, and one of the main reasons I like small tips (the other is low squirt). Even if there's no "built in" advantage, it helps me pay closer attention to tip/ball accuracy.
