So lets say that you have two shafts one with a 10" taper and one with a 14" taper... same ferulle and same tip on both shafts.

Which shaft will give you more deflection?
Also will a thicker shaft add more deflection as well?
And lastly, which tip will add more deflection a soft or
hard?

The one with the flex point farther from the tip imo.
Yeah, but what if the "pro-taper" tapers up from, say, 12.5mm to 13.75mm over 10", then what smarty pants...

Thanks,

Well, he predicated the two shafts having the same tip and ferrule.
So, with the same size tip, the one with the flex point farther from the tip, IMHO will have more cueball squirt.
"Pro-taper"? That term opens up a can of worms. I ain't touchin' it.

Tell me about it, a team of wild horses can't drag me in here, not even the borax 20 mule team. I know the answer, but my lips are sealed, I am playing with the answer.
