Just doing BCA this year. Funny, haven't made the last four years but made the 14 years before it. I miss it though.

This will be all of our first time at states. this was our first year and finnished 2nd in our league help 1st most of the winter though.. so what should we expect? is there any close hotels? is there mini? could someone post or send me some info via pm ....ive been to vegas as a spectator and that was pretty sweet just seeing all the tables lined up something like that here?

thanks

-All the Hotels are up around Everhard Rd and Whipple Ave areas. Give yourself 15 minutes and you are from your Hotel to the Civic center in no time at all. Travel down 77 get off on the Thirteenth St. Exit. Take a left (you'll notice your suddenly on 12th St don't ask) ...pass the hospital, the snake turns, railroad tracks till you reach Market avenue...turn right and your there.

-All the places to eat are where the Hotels are.

-Practice in between matches at Fiddlestix. Lots of tables there. Located at the top of the hill on Everhard Rd close to all the Hotels. Take a right on Fulton. Look for a Giant Ice Cream cone and Fiddlestix is behind it.

-Buy the parking garage ticket at the Civic center that lasts for the entire event. You will save money believe me.

-Many Tables I think 48 of them if I remember correctly in two rooms.

My team will be there Saturday & Sunday.. We placed 9th tie last year so will only be able to play in AA/Masters division this year.. It's a pretty good time, I'll probably not get in until Friday night or Saturday morning..

Renard had good advice.. I miss the BCA though, it's better than VNEA in my opinion.

thanks for all the info! im getting excited over my first state event. i would like to meet some fellow azer maybe shoot some. but be for warned m not that good. i shoot in a "weak" league and am only a 7.85 but love to shoot! hope to hear of more going

Here's a picture of the main Room in the civic center. I also have switched to BCA this year. I also am AA and hope to go next year. It's a great tournament. Our goal in the past has always been to go undefeated into Sunday and believe me it's easier said than done. Good Luck!

i seen a pic from the convention centers site like that one... i also seen in the past that one of my home town (Ardian, Mi) shooters was in one of the pics i think from '05

we always stay at the sheraton four points a couple exits down from tourney...rooms are nice plus the hotel has a nice bar located in it since we are pretty much a drinking team with a pool problem...

ya sounds like my team! we are staying at the residence inn. do you know how much taxi is from that area to the convention center? im sure we will be drinking too much to drive! where are you coming from?
