REALLY enjoy watching Chinese 8-ball. Hope it catches on here.
If you say so.Your cases are awesome
I know so. I lived in China for 7 years. I know this game and these tables. Unless some Chinese company is going to sponsor a multi-year million dollar per year tour in the USA there is zero chance that anyone here will buy these tables and promote this game.
For this particular aspect of pool I am sure that it's the complete opposite of what American players want. Our players complain when the pockets get to be 4.25" and balls rattle because of it. A table which rejects shots that barely touch the rail 98% of the time??? FORGET IT for the USA.
This is a land where the vast majority of players spend the vast majority of their time playing on 7ft tables with 4.5" easy pockets. What will happen is that people will crowd the booth, they will ohh and ahh and talk about how precise you have to be. Some will say they wish they had such a table in their home pool rooms....
Not one of them will actually buy any significant number of the tables. A few might buy one to have a curiosity.
I hate to be Debbie Downer here but I know this market in the USA really well. If I am wrong I will happily admit to being wrong.
I like the game. I like the challenge. I would like to have a C8 table in our room just to have one because I think it's great to be exposed to different variations of pool. I am in the tiny minority who thinks this way.
You could offer to pay any player $100 who breaks and runs out on a C8 table for the entry fee of $5 a try and outside of the top pros 99% of the players at the BCA will fail to run out 99% of the time. These are good players who can run out on the 7' tables you will see several hundred of.
Wrong way to go, yet another type of table needed and different equipment. This will not help pool become more popular. It`s the same thing with Blacball on those stupid 6ft tables.
