He e-mailed me last week and said he was in Fort Walton Beach, I was supposed to meet him at Starcade on friday but didn't make it. I've e-mailed him twice this week but haven't heard from him yet. B
I'm back in the US now! I was in Ft Walton Beach for about 12 days, and am now in Ofallon Illinois. I have internet at home, but still waiting on my PC to arrive. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, no access to Internet until now. More info to come...
Thanks to those who have been asking about me!
Thanks everyone! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of AZ members!!
I'm getting settled in our home little by little. Now I just need to find a 3.5' x 7' table for the house and I'll be set! Any ideas? What about AMF Playmaster??
The Diamonds are a little pricey, aren't they? I'm looking for a 3.5'x7' Valley/Couger table in either black or wood finish with chrome corners. Any idea where to get one?
You're right Zim, the Smart tables are a bit pricey but they play just like a Diamond Pro but smaller.
I don't know where to get a Valley/Couger but have you ever played on an old Irving K bar box? They are the tightest bar boxes ever made. If you get a chance find one and hit some balls on one. I know you will like it.
Purdman- Got your card, thanks! Sorry I didn't return an email yet! I've been so busy getting things for the house, just bought a vehicle and looking for a table for the house. I have an oversized 2 car garage with room for a nice lathe bench and other things.
It's great to be back on solid soil!! Thanks to all who have kept me and my family in prayers and to those who have asked about me.
It's been a few months since I ran into you at Osan....hope your move went well. I Spent some time in Baghdad after leaving Korea, and am now stuck in Qatar for the next 6 months.
Zim, welcome back home! hope to see you out at a couple tournaments in the area! Can you send me a link to the tourny in IL in late january? I lost the link. Also have you checked w/Terry Huelsman for the valley table?? he had quite a few in stock last time i talked to him. Newayz, hit me back up at midwikkid@yahoo.com. You still selling cues? i'm looking into getting a Dominiak!
Midwikkid- I called Terry yesterday, but he's out of town for a few days or so. The bartender did say that there were many tables in storage. I'm still selling cues and have about 4 Dominiaks in stock right now, ranging from $250-$950. www.geocities.com/zimsrack/LENJOS

Slim- I have your card, it's in my HHG, which I should get by end of January! Nice to hear from you again! How's life treating you? I start back to work at Scott AFB Illinois next Wednesday to Inprocess and then hit the ground running! APA Pool League starts up 1st week of February and I'm itching to play! I was voted "Top Player of the Year" at Osan!!
Talk to you soon Slim,
Zim
Hope you get settled in with minimal fuss. Dude, I've been busy since I left Korea. Spent 6 weeks TDY to Tyndall, then back to Tampa for a week and off to Baghdad. I've been here in Qatar for a month and probably won't see home again for another 5 months or so. At least we have an old 9 footer in the Rec Tent here. No one plays on it but me....shooting a lot of drills and trying to get my Straight Pool high run up over 30 balls.....maybe before I leave!
BTW - when I was at Tyndall in Sept, I was playing regularly at a place on Hwy 22 called "Park in Back Billiards". They guy that owns the place is a great guy and an experienced tournament player. Told him about the conversation you and I had about holding an Armed Forces tourny. He says he'd be interested in hosting it (and might throw in a little added money). The place has 10 Craftmaster 9'ers, and they are FAST. Think we could find 32 active military folks who want to pay a visit to Panama City? With all the retired guys in the area, we might be able to fill a 16 player field with them and run both active and retired divisions.....something to think about.
