I just have to say this, but in the very strong field at Shooters, I am proud to say that many of them were Okies.
The list includes:
James Walden
Gabe Owen
Jeff Melton
Shane McMinn
Joey Grey
Also, Chip Compton from OKC ( a friend of Joey's) took a $1000 5-ahead set from a VERY strong one pocket player named Danny Hill. In fact, he only took 6 games to do it.
I played Chip and ended up splitting with him (getting the 7 ball), but I tell you, he would have to spot me the world playing one hole. I was impressed to say the least.
And also, Brian Jones from Tulsa has been playing Billy Incardona the last few nights playing one pocket. He gave Cardone 10-8 the first night with Billy winning and gave him 9-8 the second night (I don't know how it came out.
Anyways, when Chip took down the ahead set early this morning, the backer of Danny Hill's saiys " DAMN, we shoulda known better than to mess with these Oklahoma boys."
I am proud to say that Oklahoma breeds some of the toughest young players around, and most are not afraid to match up.
SO, if you have an itch to gamble, head down there and give these boys some action!
