Old 4 Piece Slate table Can You Identify

Hello,

I am new to pool tables but recently purchased an 8ft table. The slate was in 4 pieces which I thought was odd? There are no metal tags to say what brand or model it is. There are some stamped numbers on the bottom side of the rails and a few underneath the pocket rails but I believe those were just to match up the rails for the pockets as they were number 1-6. The letter and number under the rails or what I could make out was M75492 87071. I am not sure if that help anyone or not but any help would be appreciated. I have played on a couple 4x8s with four slates...
...I was told they’d been home carom tables that had the rails replaced and slate modified.

The ones I played on were from the 20s or 30s.
 
I don't know the Mfgr.- but I would agree that this table is probably close to 80/100 years old, based on some things I see.
 
I'm playing on an 1896 BBC Narraganset table....also with 4 slates. What color is your slate? Gray slate and green slate mean 2 entirely different possibilities. Before approx 1930....most, if not all, US tables had green slate from the East coast - VA if I recall correctly. They were cut into 4 pieces because the technology at the time wasnt able to cut perfect pieces that big. Likewise....shipping tech/freight costs were prohibitive IRT getting the Italian (gray) slate to the US. Beyond 1930(ish), the machines improved, and slates were able to be both cut into larger perfect pieces AND shipped from italy.....hence no more green VA slate.

in summary, I'd guess your table to be early 20th century if your slate is green....and the 1930's if it's gray.
