old hercules cue tips

Hi, Does anyone know which is the glue side on the old hercules laminated tips? they are marked s,m,h, but dont say glue side or anything else.

It probably is the side opposite the markings....

Here's a quetion I pondered...Does it really matter what side is glued on??

It is the side of the tp with no writing on it.

You can usually feel the tip and determine which side is which. The top or the side you don't glue will have a slightly rounded edge. The bottom and the side you do glue will have a sharper and slightly extended edge. This is caused when they punch them out of the larger pieces of leather.

THank you i've never noticed such. I will have to examine my next tips more closely.
