old house cues where do you find them?

So the other day I popped in one of our local thrift stores and hidden in a corner were these two old house cues. I paid $2.00 a piece for them and they are surely 70's or earlier. The darker of the two has already been shipped to Lee at LP Custom Cues to be converted. The lighter one had too many issues (Interior rattle). But this made me think where to find old house cues.

Thrift stores, craigslist and older pool halls sometimes will sell their house cues. I've picked up a few and had them converted into sneakies. I picked up an old and very straight tru balance that I am going to have a shaft made out of it.
