How many other folks like the look of 4 "sharp" points with bright veneers, steel joint, Crosses and Dots inlays, White delrin butt cap? For me personally it's mandatory....I've owned a bunch of different cues over the years, always this style...is it just me?...My current lineup.... 20150419_164410.jpg

I prefer the traditional look as well, Birdseye maple with natural, Danish, or golden honey stain. Add some points and veneers with a hoppe style butt cap. Also I really like the plain Jane Merry Widow look, simple but good. All the newer cocobolo / southwest style cues are not my thing. The butterfly points and "box" designs are nice if done well.

The skull joint protectors, speaks to the mentality of the cue owner.....never matured beyond the age of 13.

I love the JP's would love a set for a buddy of mine. Can you tell me where you purchased them?

What's wrong sunshine, did you get up on the wrong side of bed this morning?

To the op, I'm with you on the old school look!

If you ask me, this post shows who really has the lower maturity age... Like the old school, joint protectors are not my style, but they are cool.

Not sure how this turned into a Joint Protector thread.....I've had cue matching J/P's too, black delrin, white delrin, every kind of wood you can name....Don't really care, only time they are on is in the case right? Lols.......

Works for me... actually it is high priority.

That said, I do have a nifty Huebler with no points

A quick click on his past postings exposes him as somewhat demented with a side of serving of bigotry. He doesn't post much anyway, just ignore him. What you see is what you get with people like him.

I am a huge fan of Titlist conversions and copies. I am currently looking around for a cue maker to have an Ebony/Titlist style cue made. I currently have 1 Titlist conversion and 1 original Hoppe Titlist.

Yeah adding to my ignore list...

Contact this guy...many of his cues are ornate, but he's fully capable of the titlist style. 4 needle sharp veneered points.

Contact Paul Drexler and have him build one from a John Davis blank. pfdrexler@comcast.net

Attached photo is a Purpleheart John Davis based cue he did for me.
