Old table

Guy says he has old Brunswick from a pool hall, has crack in one piece of the 1" slate, he says it can be expoxied and repaired. Would it be worth fooling with or should I stay away. Table broken down and stored. Any suggestions. Asking $150 for it.

Depends in the model of the table, if it came from a pool hall it should be a commercial model and would well be worth it. The epoxy trick may work or you can get replacement slate. I have access to 9' NOS Brunswick slate from the 70's if you need to replace it.

Show up with your pickup truck and offer $100 if in good condition. I'm sure you can replace the slate.
