Olhausen Rails - No Staple Groove (Dado Groove)...?

I just noticed on the underside of the rails on my Olhausen table that there is no staple groove (dado groove) on the underside into which to staple and finish the cloth edge. It's just completely flat.

Did a quick Google search, could not find much info on this subject, but found this YouTube video for an Olhausen cloth change:

And that shows exactly the same as my Olhausen, no staple groove at all.

Anyone know why this is, and also wouldn't this affect the nose height for the cushion?
 
Might want to contact Olhausen as well. Maybe the designers are taking into account the staples and cloth thickness to get the correct nose height? Not the best idea in my opinion, but these tables certainly don’t look like tournament tables, so they probably don’t sweat the minor differences in nose height anyway.
