Oliver Ortmann

anybody know if Mr. Ortmann is going to be participating in the U.S. Open this year?

DCP

DCP, Ortmann is not a confirmed entrant as of August 24. Would be nice if he showed. After all, even though he disappointed in the WPC, he was the top player on the Eurotour this past year. Still, his participation, though still possible, seems fairly improbable at this point.

Ortmann

According to his website, he was also due at the Big Apple 9 Ball challenge but didn't show up (like many others). As far as his performance at the WPC, well... he was eliminated by Efren, and apparently was shooting the light out for most of the game. Efren even said about some kicks Ortmann executed: "I couldn't believe some of them." And that is Efren talking about kicks !

Hey, Lewdo, hope all's well. Thanks for clarifying about Ortmann's performance in the WPC. He didn't disappoint with his level of play, but his final placement in the event would have to be considered a disappointment relative to expectations going in.

Oliver's a great player with a most impressive list of accomplishments. I wish he competed more often in the United States. Hope, too, that he'll be a player, rather than a non-playing captain, on Europe's next Mosconi Cup team.

I heard Ortmann ran a six pack in his match with Efren, sounded like a good match. He better be a player for Europe at this years Mosconi Cup because there is no way that Nick Van Den Berg is a better player than him.
