Off the top of my head..................

These are the upper division results:
1st Jesse Bowman
2nd Tommy Hernandez
3rd Jeremy Ross
4th Jeff Sergent
5/6th Miles Gerringer
5/6th Sean Johnson

I believe this was how it all finished up. Check DrPool.net in a week or to be sure.

Olympia Open

If I am not mistaken, there were over 200 participants. This number spanned the different skill-level divisions for both 8-ball and 9-ball tournaments. Everything ran very smoothly and was very successful from a player's point of view. I played in the events for the lower division 9-ball tournament and the "B"-level 8-ball tournament. There were a lot of "monster" players in the upper division 8-ball tournament. I can't wait til next year's event!!!

Bowman wins again surprise surprise. Where was this tourney at?

This tournament was a drpool.net promotions event that was held at Olympia Resort in Oconomowoc, WI (just outside of Milwaukee). We didn't get a chance to go because my boyfriend had to work. I heard it was a real nice turnout and had GREAT payouts! I hope to make the next one!

Umm..yeah the first place for the upper division 8-ball was GUARANTEED $2500!!!! The calcutta for first was $1300!!!!! This is fantastic for a first time event. It is only going to get bigger and better. Dean and his group did an excellent job with providing referees to watch shots as well as making sure that everything moved along nicely. You knew when you would be playing your next match. Food, drinks, discounted hotel rooms. Also a lounge and good restaurant within the hotel. Vendors were onsite to do cue repair sell equipment, etc. The lower divisions were very fair as well. First place for the lower divisions was still $700!!!! Not to mention that they paid out 16 places (roughly a quarter of the field). You would make your entry fee plus your quarters back even if you took 16th!

I seriously think this event has the potential to double in size for next year. I think if you ask anyone who went, they will say that it really was well put together. I think had people been more familiar with some of the big names there, that the calcutta for the upper division could have been nearly twice the size that it was.
