Omaha pool hall defies public smoking ban

I played with Lucky Bucky in Pittsburgh at Jimmy Morino's place back in the late '70's when he first opened. Someone just told me his last name when I was in Pittsburgh on Saturday. He lived somewhere around Pittsburgh back then so it's been 40 years since I've seen him. I looked his name up and found this thread. If anyone knows the whereabouts of one Lucky Bucky please pm me. I wanna try and win some old money back.

Thanks.
Jim U.

Lucky Bucky, I forgot about him, haven't seen him for like 25 years. Is he still around?

Defying it here too

Dickie has been defying the smoking ban here in Paducah for allmost 4 years now. He put a similar sign on his door and has refused to obey the smoking laws. He's had a couple of tickets which he fights in court and a few customers have gotten tickets which he pays for them. His story was even on Rush Limbaugh a few years back. He has racked up thousands of dollars in Lawyers fees and he will fight it until he has no money left and they shut his buisness..but lucky for him they don't bother him too much any more. Even though i'm a good friend of his i've been against his stand from the start. Its the only place within 100 miles that has 9 ft tables and i like to play one pocket or i wouldn't go in there. I try to play during the day when it isn't so bad and when it starts affecting me too much i take a break for a few weeks at a time.. Theres no smoke eaters and its frigin horrible. Even smokers agree its really bad. The last few years he's even taken up smoking himself again and now he's sick all the time with sinus infections, bronchitis, ear infections and he has'nt been able to talk with laryingitis for the last month and you know the heavy smoke is starting to take its toll when you simply don't ever get better. I know lots of his old customers and friends who have stop coming in because they've simply had enough. Like i said we are good friends and i love pool and my friends, but i have also cut my pool time down considerablly. But i do defend his right to do with his buisness as he sees fit, just hate to see it kill him and probably my stupid ass....the best thing they ever did was enact smoking laws in Paducah, but the laws don't have much teeth here..Such is life in a small southern area..At least thats my opinion.
