You won’t find me there. I’m about 400 miles from there. Take your fishing pole so you’ll have something to do before you turn around and go home.

for the first time , it was awesome!!!!!
“Brookeland” is located on Sam Rayburn Lake which is a 150,000 acre lake with a 900 mile shoreline. No ice fishing but a lot of bass, crappe and catfish. I lived on the lake for 9 years. The town itself is a ghost town like many former sawmill towns in East Texas.Man just went ice Fishing
I was at Hanks Creek Campground on SR lake last week! Beautiful lake …. Where to play around there ?
I played in roadhouses on bar tables. Lufkin had a room that closed years ago and someone in Nacogdoches bought the equipment. The closest place is probably Tyler/Longview. Just not a lot to choose from in East Texas unless you go bar hopping. I’m right outside of San Antonio. Bananas was the hot spot 12 years ago but it’s under new ownership and a lot of the older top players have passed away. Fast Eddie’s and a few other spots are popular.
