Ok I just picked up a used Pete Omen Jump/Break cue. There are a few things about it that are not standard with the hoppe howitzer model. First Let me say I am not a expert on cues but, as soon as I saw it I was sure it was a Omen cue as I have had a few of them and love them. First odd thing is the pin: Pete used a 5/16 x 14 joint in place of the standard "Omen pin". the 2nd is the lengths of the butt and forearm ... the butt is 1" shorter than a standard model and the forearm is 1" larger than the standard J/B cue. the joint collar is very nice. The one odd thing about this cue is that it is not signed anywhere on it as to id it as a Omen. I did call Pete and had him verify the cue is his and He informed me that he built around 1 dozen or so cues like this with 5/16 x 14 pins and longer fronts to help them jump a little easier. I will say it jumps the same as my other Omen (great with ease) but this cue breaks great. Pete also informed me that this cue was made as part of a set and it must of been split up. I am working with the person I purchased this cue off of as to try to reunite it...Here are some pics: the hoppe howitzer is on the bottom and the top cue is also a Omen J/B:
