Have the bug to buy another cue. Have a few McDermott's, and a Schon. Also have a Jacoby ultra shaft for my Schon. Like them all, but just want another cue. I'm older, and do not want to wait to have one built, so will be buying used or new in stock. There is a new Omen, and Carmeli out there that I like the style of both, and are in my price range. I also like the style of Coo's cues, but I don't see any available in the style and price that I would like to keep at. I am a mid level player, and do plan on playing with whatever cue I purchase. Price and stile/looks of either is close enough that I'm sure I would be happy with either one. I may look at getting a 30" shaft in the future also, if that matters in the choice, as The Jacoby shaft that I have on my Schon is 30", and I like that. Is it just a toss up, or would there be a reason for either one.

I can't speak of Pete Omen cues. But I did just buy a Carmeli cue and can say the balance makes this 19 oz cue feel like a feather. Modified 3/8x10, flat face ivory sleeved joint, stiff shaft taper. Plays great to me. Excellent workmanship, attention to detail. I would describe the action of the cue as, not needing much power to move the ball.

Thanks everyone, at this time there is a Omen that somewhat interests me, and a Carmelli that I am not sure about. There have been Carmelli's that have come up for sale in the past, that I really liked the looks of, but didnt act quick enough. Snooze you loose, I guess. They both seem to have very positive reviews, but I am somewhat concerned about the pin size on the Omen, as to whether I could easily get a after market shaft for it in the future.

Omen is a great cue. I have owned several in the past and they all played great. The 3/8 x 11 pin is not that uncommon and you should be able to find what you need in the aftermarket.
