I can't believe what I just saw on caromtv.com. On the video library there are 2 matches of Sang Lee playing in Tijuana, my hometown, and what's more amazing is that he played in the place where I go play every weekend, Club Billar Las Vegas. I know that most of you guys won't be interested in this thread, but I had to share this with somebody.

I met Sang two or three times here in Tacoma, Washington. The Local Elks lodge in Tacoma, Lodge 174 has had a number of 3-cushion National Championships, and a World Championship where Sang was in attendance.

I must say the man had one hell of stroke, and he was always, in all cases a Gentleman and an asset to all forms of Billiards!!!

Interestingly, one of those videos is of him losing to Rodolfo Covarrubias in a handicapped match. Lee had the higher average, but Covarrubias was spotted 7 on 50 and won 43-49. He also beat Sang 43-46 in the Milpitas, CA tournament at Edgie's in the same year. Very few people had a positive game record against Sang Lee regardless of handicaps, but I think Covarrubias might be the only guy to have never lost to him in tournament play. Lucky for him they only played those two times :)
