If anyone needs a on/off switch for their penn state motors, or any type of machine actually, after a lot of searching I finally found a supplier.

These are rated at 16 amp @120 volt and snap into the normal switch cutout. I have had to replace both of my controller switches in the last week. These also fit most switches on quite a few power tools, like bandsaws lathes, etc.
Hope this helps someone

That is a good price. Thanks for the info. They are also available from Penn State service dept.

I am not trusting of the ones that come from them, as the originals died very quickly, one of them was only 1.5 years old and not used very much. The other came with the lathe when I bought it, so don't know how old it was. Both switches I replaced were very pitted and burned, and melted in spots, which tells me they were not a high amperage switch. I had taken both apart and cleaned them, resurfacing the contacts,, but both only went another month or so before dying. The part number on the original switch, when googled, came back as a 10 amp switch, these are 16 amp, so we'll see how long these last. Hopefully alot longer.

Thanks for the info.

I buy mine from Grainger for $12 each and I change them about every 2 months because they stop working. They are easy to change but it is a pita.
