Has anyone made a cue with a one piece core (28 inches long) for the forearm and handle. The core can be radially or flat laminated
I have used a two step core going all the way through Ebony to make a 19 ounce Ebony cue. I have a bunch of blanks by Reuben Fisher that have a single core going all the way through with forearm, handle and butt sleeves all different kinds of woods.Has anyone made a cue with a one piece core (28 inches long) for the forearm and handle. Perhaps a silly question, but have you experimented with using the thinner side of the core as the forearm and compared it to having the thinner side as the butt? What were your thoughts? I hope that makes sense.I have used a two step core going all the way through Ebony to make a 19 ounce Ebony cue. That's usually how a full length core is made. Forearm @5/8" ish, handle @3/4"Perhaps a silly question, but have you experimented with using the thinner side of the core as the forearm and compared it to having the thinner side as the butt? What were your thoughts? I hope that makes sense.
This one, I wanted an -A- joint in the Core for balance purposes. You can do whatever you want, if you can define how to do it!Has anyone made a cue with a one piece core (28 inches long) for the forearm and handle. The core can be radially or flat laminated
I don't know if they all are, but I'm glad the Thor hammer by Joss was.Yeah done that several times. I think all Joss cues are made that way.
