One Pocket Break

Any pro tourney's using this rule ?? I've watched a lot of 1P matches, never seen it, but then again, don't see lot's of balls dropping on the break either ??

Others have mentioned pro tournament were this rule has been used and I am aware of a few money matches where the players have agreed to it.

Personally I don't mind the traditional rule. However I have noted that more than a few of the matches where the rerack was in play... it was at the insistence of a better player giving up a significant spot.

Playing in a few Red Shoe's 1P tourneys, and never saw this. And I made a ball on the break against Ike Runnell's just a few years ago... he didn't bat an eye. Ran the score up 6-0 on my break, and played safe. I had a chance at a "hero" shot that could have ended the game right then and there, but played safe instead.

Yeah, I lost 8-6 ;)

Monsignor Lavin is a traditionalist. Doubt he would incorporate that change.
