One pocket ruined the rest of my games

One pocket ruined the rest of my games at first, but later added so much more to them.

I had to learn how to miss balls before I could start making them. It showed me how far you could go in a tight pocket Diamond to get an opponents ball out and still leave him without a shot. It helped with my banking and leave play immensely.

I had always played to make balls with an occasional safety sprinkled in for good measure. With one pocket I learned how to make my own, play safe and cue ball control all at the same time. But I think the biggest thing it did was teach me patience that I never had before on the table.
