Is it possible to add a forum dedicated to One Pocket? I believe that it is really gaining in popularity especially in my area. (I don't see ESPN jumping on it because of its slow pace...lol.) I am really getting into the game and want to learn as much as I can. The forums offer a lot of good information.

Nell:

How about an ENTIRE website devoted to One Pocket?

http://onepocket.org/

Steve Booth runs a tight ship over there, and it's a veritable goldmine of info.

Enjoy!

Morning, Sean:
You are busy around the forums this morning and being very funny at that. Yes, I am familiar with onepocket.org and have found it very useful. There are some good videos out there with knowledgeable narrators that I watch. Also, I have bought several DVDs that are really good. I wish they would reprint Eddie Robin's books at an affordable price. I just thought an avenue for questions that come up might also be helpful/

Thanks Nell!

Actually, not as busy as you may think; I optimize my AZB visits to almost "hit and run" type of posts, on 5-minute breaks at work. Glad you like the humor though -- that's the one thing that gives me pleasure, is making someone else smile or laugh.

As for having a dedicated One Pocket forum here at AZB, I personally would support it. And I think it would get a lot of traffic -- probably more so that some of the other game-focused subforums like 14.1, Carom, and Snooker; some of which can go for a day or so without a single new post. However, considering the fact that onepocket.org *does* get so much dedicated focus and traffic related to this great game, methinks creating an AZB subforum for it would kind of bifurcate the knowledge base -- spreading it across two disparate websites, AZB and onepocket.org. Folks would now have two places to search for 1P knowledge, instead of just one. The nice thing about onepocket.org existing on its own is that it's one place that has almost everything you want to know, kit and kaboodle.

Anyway, that's my $0.02 that I picked up off the floor. Don't worry -- I blew the dust and dirt off of it, before handing it to you. ;)

AZ One Pocket State Championship

I could have used one to post this comment about last night's stream. First of all, big thanks again to the stream providers.

Throughout the day I kept remembering what I thought was the quote of the night from one of the commentators on Scott Frost's quick games on another table when he said, "Scott doesn't play with his food".

I'm in support of this. I'd like to read, hear, see what's going on. None of my friends play OP. I can't learn anything on my own. A dedicated forum would be appreciated. Good thread. Thanks.
