i read in an earlier post something about efren playing the one pocket ghost to 40 in 5 racks i think it was. i was just wondering how this was done? against the 9 ball ghost i break take ball in hand and try to get out -
if i was trying to get or give this game as action how would the break work? i've just recently taken interest in the game of one pocket and was looking for ways to practice. no one in my area plays it so any advice would be helpful as well.

Determine your pocket, break the balls, shoot till you miss. Start over. No cue ball in hand. At least thats how I've played it. Watched Tony Chohan do it the other day on a bet. Same way.

did he break harder than normal and what # was he going too in how many racks?

If I recall, the break of choice is from the side and opposite to your pocket, hitting the lower end of the rack firm, about 2-3 balls from the corner. Of course, we all tried different breaks.

If I recall, the bet was 5 racks 25 balls. I believe Tony averaged about 7 or 8 per rack, which is good.

thank you for the info can't wait to get on a table and try this for myself.

Didn't Corey gamble on this too ? But he wanted 5:1 odds to clear all 15 balls, with a BIH after the break. Heard that most of the times he took home the cash...

I watched Corey do it at the pool room I work at. Its also the pool room he learned to play in. He needed 29 balls in 2 racks to win. He ran a 15, then a 14. Its probably the strongest thing I have ever seen done.
