One Pocket in Arizona

Hi all,

Next month at the next Olhausen Billiards All-Around Tour it is going to be a One Pocket tourney. I was wondering if there are any AZers from Arizona that would like to play some One Pocket and help me learn the game a little bit better. I have played it before but never with anyone who has a lot of knowlege of the game. Thank you to anyone in advance.

In case you can't find someone to play with you might call Babe Thompson (Rodney Thompson) - he gives lessons and is a very good player you have probably seen at some of the all-around tournaments in town. Don Rose is a good teacher, I don't know if he still gives lessons.

I'd play you if you don't mind a drive to Tucson. If Glenn Bond is still over at Main Street in Mesa he is a great person to learn from, and he will often play cheap or give very reasonably priced lessons.

My wife is actually pretty good friends with Glen - He helps her with her game. We took a safety seminar from him a little while back too. I am pretty sure he will be at the all-around this weekend as well so I will talk to him there and maybe play him some.

I think Scott Frost is out there somewhere. If I were you, I'd start out even and adjust from there.
