When making a 1hole game say 22-10 should the player going to 10 spot the first 2 balls? It seams to me that it has to be that way.

Anyone have any experience with this sort of game or an opinion on how this should work?

I played a guy 13 9 i was going to 9 ,i spotted the first ball that i made every game and he spotted 5,if both guys are going beyond 8 then they both have to spot down, until they are at 8.u have to get down to 16,until then you have to keep spotting balls.12 7 then the guy going to 12 will spot 3,9and7 equal 16.

good question

why would you do that?

Sometimes the game is say 11-5.Well the player going to 5 can take risky shots hoping for a 5 ball run especially if that player is hopelessly trapped so the better player may want to make the game 22-10 or even 23-10 to keep em honest so to speak. This is the reason that comes to mind for me but there may be other reasons. The thing about 1 pocket is you can make a game between any 2 players no matter how far apart their skill levels.
