One Pocket Main Forum Category???

Since I have been playing one pocket more and more and the apparent growth in popularity these days, I was wondering why we don't have a one pocket main forum category? We have a category for straight pool and snooker and with there being so much to learn as to how to play good one pocket with so many differences in opinion as to what shot to take, different moves to make, etc., I think it would be a very popular category. So, I have created a poll to see how many of you think it would be a great addition to AZ.

expanded? The reasons I say this are:

1 - I wouldn't consider it awesome, as I might only stray into
that forum if I was bored. I've never played it.

2 - I know folks play one pocket, and they really love it.

3 - I don't fit in the "can't make balls..." category.

Maybe offer:
"Nice idea, but I doubt I would visit it much. See onepocket.org for one pocket."
"Nice idea, I might take up one pocket someday"

Just some thoughts...

I think that the site owner here is friends with the owner of the one pocket site so we probably won't see a dedicated one pocket forum here.

Not to mention that there already is a dedicated One Pocket forum, and has been since May 2004, but yes, it is on a different site -- a website dedicated to the game of One Pocket. Mike is certainly free to do whatever he wants, but it is kind of a nice idea to show a little consideration for the guy that puts all that effort into doing the One Pocket site -- and does a pretty good job of it :)

Including, expanded and 'game-tested' One Pocket rules that are way more thorough than the BCA's -- Interviews with legends of the game -- a 'record book' of One Pocket tournament winners and runner-ups -- a primer for players just getting aquainted with the game -- a listing of upcoming and regular One Pocket events -- a glossary of One Pocket terms -- a long list of player nicknames -- and especially, a Hall of Fame that has given props to some very deserving players!

Yes, I am that guy...
 
For just One Pocket??

I would suggest a seperate area for all the main games mentioned around here(8/9Ball, One Pocket, Straight, 3-Cushion, snooker). I see they have different catagorys for each thing about cue/cue construction. But then they could also add another few catagoreys to wanted/for sale(cues, cue cases, Accessories, Tables, Table accessories)

I've been obsessed with theg ame for a couple weeks now, I never gave it serious thought before because I coudln't play it well in any way, but once you learn alittle bit about it and get better it's one of the best pool games ever, I'd defaintly be down for a seperate forum.
 
While I agree that onepocket.org is a good site, I highly doubt people would stray away from that site if AZ had their own one pocket section. Using that as an excuse not to have a section here is just silly.
 
It shouldn't matter that another site is dedicated to one pocket. I would enjoy discussing it on this forum with all its members. Plus I don't like the forums as much on onepocket.org. It is also my favorite game.
