One Pocket scratch on break rules?

I've never played it but had Piggy Banks (aka Glenn Rodgers) shoot it at me in a match up in Chicago.

I'd never had it played on me and as I walked up to the table I actually had to ask him which pocket was mine, lol.

When I've tried it, it seems like the results are often better than my typical break, but there is definitely a good chance of selling out the game. I don't play much one pocket so a skilled player might see less upside and more drawback to the kick break.

I've played a couple folks that use this break. It's kind of a cop out for bad players to be honest. Bad players can reliably hit this break with very little practice and have no shot of hitting the standard break as consistently.

As for its effectiveness, it gets you through the inning without massive sellouts for the most part but that's about it. Very easy to move out of and puts no real pressure on good players. The only people using this break get. huge weight if that tells you anything.

I played an old acquaintance when visiting HT in Bellfower. One Hole. I think I broke - I use the Ronnie Allen break. (Can explain the simple aim if anyone's interested) Anyway I run out and his break, he uses this break at the back corner. It just thuds there. I don't remember if anything hit the rail. That rack was a hundred percent his moves. I didn't get a ball. Anyway if you play the game game, that's the break.
