CC,
Hey, wait just a minute. Before Jon is banned permanently, perhaps we should give him the benefit of the doubt - I'm sure that by "book" he actually meant "Penthouse forum".
I have no idea what you are talking about :D .

Thanks,

Obsessive cue maker

I ordered a cue (with two shafts) from Dave Kersenbrock in 1977...he had it ready with one shaft in about 5 months...he refused to give it to me until he could get a piece of wood "identical" to match the first shaft...one year later he gave me my cue with two matching shafts, taper and lengths are the same > one weighs .03 ounces different than the other with the density ratings of 810 and 808 !!!! whatever that means !!!
...but they both still play great and straight after all these years (I alternate the use quite often)

I also have 3 other shafts that fit this cue that I use for snooker and billiards.

I have shot over a million balls myself (lotsa straight pool) and have seen many more shot by other players in 30 years, and I have seen very few cue tips fall off during a match. It seems to happen shortly after the new tip is applied. Probably because of humidity/glue temperature/ type or age of glue/ bad surface on tip....or something similar
