So I had a thought (it might not be a good one, but none the less..)
After reading a post about a member who plays at home and just can't seem to get any better, I got an idea for an online chip game, to add a little pressure to the home players as well as added practice pressure.
My idea, all done over video chat/conference/call. Game can be 8/9/10 ball. Or whatever (14.1 would work too for high run scores,)
2 people agree on a set amount ($5, $10, $20 or whatever) at $1 (or once again whatever the parties agree upon) a game.
Each player adds in a chip.
Player 1 goes first, breaks and trys to run oout. Dry break mean open table (no ball in hand like a Ghost game), miss and you're done, run out is the goal.
Player 2 is next, same goal.
Who ever runs there rack gets the 2 chips.
Both run out, the chips stay in the pot.
Both players fail the run out, chips stay in the pot.
Chips go to the "winner" of the rack (say Player 1 runs out, Player 2 does not. Player 1 gets the chips)
Winner is the one with all the chips, no re-buys.
Now, of course every table will be different (size, pocket size, cloth, etc) as well as skill set, so that would have to be worked out between the parties evolved.
I think this might help people like me, and others who dont get the chance to get out much, but still want that added bit of pressure ( there's a little cash on the line, some AZB bragging rights, camera on you, etc) plus, it's a way for some of the people on here to kinda have a game with someone across the world.
And for the brave, and tech savvy, there could be a live stream on YouTube or something. Just to kick it up a notch.
Sorry if this has been done or brought up before.
Just one of my highdeas
