I tend to ignore people like that (the boyfriend). Fundamentals are key in any type of break. I can probably break harder/faster than Archer, but I have no where near the control or poise that he has. If you can't control the rock, you've already lost the game.

A valid point came up in class today. "People that want to learn, ask. People that ask, become better students." If there is nothing to ask, then there is nothing to learn. Some people 'think' they know it all. Just remember this... Everyone you ever meet, knows something that you don't.

Here is the ending to all this league crap on this thread. I expressed my opinion of one player. A type of player that I run into alot in my area. A general statement. I was frustrated that after helping someone who asked for help, he would come over, gf or not, and completely set her back. I may have made a mistake thinking that players like myself, or players that have experienced this before would be supportive and understand my frustration. But no. It became, well all not league players are like that, and i bet I know leaguers that could run you over, blah blah blah. All anyone heard was, bad apa, blah blah, all league players suck, blah blah. Why does that always happen? I remember a few weeks ago someone posted a similar thread but about a pro being a jerk. He approched him with some questions, and in return got treated like to 2 year old cause the pro wasnt goin to give up info for free. He then said that one experince had ruined pool for him. He caught all kinds of crap for that. from both sides. He expressed his frustration and it turned into, all road player or pros whine cry, want the best, dont spend money, blah blah blah. I mean WTF? I was under the impression that this was a supportive community of like minded individuals, where, if one had an issue could express his issue freely without recourse. But its not.


Good or bad, I will forever hold my ground on what I think of the APA and what it has done for pool. This feeling comes from a very deep and personal matter. One of which I will express with a bit more caution from now on. Thanks to all that have expressed their opioin on this thread. Its all good knowledge. Have a night!
