Open wire gulley for the Centennial?

The ball return troughs are a terrible design on the Centennial. I'm curious if anyone has ever designed an open wire gulley for the Centennial similar to the Gold Crown?

Seriously, i have heard of people using PVC pipe as an upgrade. Problem is it would be loud as hell i'd imagine. Making one from a GC system might be doable IF you can find one. Call and talk to Ken at Classic Billiards.

Yeah but it’s a snooker conversion with tiny pocket openings. I’m assuming they were all equipped with that shitty trough style ball return.

I will call Ken Hash. Always forget about him. But he’d be the guy that would know. Thx
I new a guy that had an old snooker table and the pockets were crochet basket. He had a couple bad ones and his daughter just crocheted a couple new ones.

UPDATE:

If anyone is interested.

I talked to Ken and he very strongly recommended not moving away from the factory original gully's that came with the Cent. and Annv. He also said they are very hard to find because they are fragile and will break very easily if they're just laying around in storage. The ones I have are damn near perfect and I've stored them covered with painter's plastic on the top shelf of a 12' tall pallet rack. He also said when they are installed correctly they work great and they are tucked up and very secure and solid.

I have had zero problems with balls hanging up, the gullies are tucked up high and out of the way.

Are those plastic or wood? That looks like a nice system, I wonder why they didnt use that on GC's and used the wire system instead? Other than the obvious, chalk and other debris wont get trapped in the wire return or maybe that is the reason they changed it. If you drop chalk down your gulley will a ball push it to the ball return box?

I’m not exactly sure what it’s called but it’s some type of a plastic ish / rubber ish / resin ish material. It’s got some flex and weakness and fragile-ness to it like some built in the 1940’s / 50’s

Exactly as Hungarian said. As far as chalk goes I've always been able to reach in and grab it so I don't know if it would push through.
