Would you take advice from someone who can't beat you and also that has never achieved any kind of status in your sport? Thanks.

great post...i have a guy in my local pool hall whenever i come in and get a table to practice he migrates over to my table and keeps asking me how good do i want to get. I tell him every time , "As good as my talent, and the good lord will let me" He says Tony I can teach you this game. Now dont get me wrong..he aint a bad player..but he cant beat me. I am an old virginia country boy who was brought up to be respectful at all times so i am. I was also taught that only a fool thinks he so smart that he knows everything, but There has to be a Pecking order system in place..Kinda like the Alpha male pool player..he has to be able to clean my clock in order for me to really take in what he is trying to teach me. I have learned some things from players who are not as good as me but "experiment" more with english or tough shots so they can show me a neat little move , but to have them take over developing my game.. I dont know if I could.
