Opinions on a new table

Hi all,

I'm currently shopping for a new pool table. I had an old coin-op 10 years or so ago that I had to sell, but now I'm in a position to purchase a new one. I'm going to have to go with the furniture style this time, in the 7 foot size, and the two options in my area are Olhausen and Legacy. I've got a couple of friends with Olhausen's, but I don't know much about the Legacy brand. I do like the lifetime warranty they offer, and I like the looks of some of their models (Rylee and Ella). I didn't find much through the search feature, so are there any opinions on these? Build, durability, playability? Just trying to do all the research I can before making the purchase. Thanks,

Moss

If I had a choice I would go with the Olhausen route. Legacy Tables are imported from China and often times the cabinets are not real wood, or it is cheap import wood. Often times from Legacy we get shipped new unmatched slate as well, a bit of an annoyance.

Olhausen tables have a superior finish, better cushions, great build quality, and you are able to customize your tables in a ton of ways. You can choose species of wood, finish, sights, rail type, leg type, etc. Most Legacy tables are available in 2 or 3 finishes. Looking at comparable table models, If I were you I would spend the little bit extra and go Olhausen.

Ive installed a couple legacy tables. One in particular the cushion nose was so low the ball would hop half way down the length of table.

Thanks for the responses guys. It's been tough finding reviews on the different tables available. I've also found a Brunswick dealer within 100 miles, so if I decided to go that route, I could probably get it done with a little more paid towards shipping/delivery. I've browsed the used market, and there is a lot out there... but 7 footers are scarce. I appreciate your input.

Thanks,

Moss
