I would like to hear some feedback from all the 3c players out there about what cloth do they like better and why, simonis 300 or granito m ??

I like the Granito M better, I used it on my own table. To be honest, I don't have a really good reason why. It's more just a feeling I guess. Both play well.

It seems to me it would be very difficult for the average person to formulate an unbiased opinion... How many of us have actually encountered both? And further... the table itself, age of the rails, current condition, quality of the balls... even the environment... all have subtle and not so subtle effects on play.

With so few quality tables in my area... I personally don't think I have ever had the opportunity to play on Granito M cloth. The heated Gabriels tables I do play on are covered in Simonis and they play fantastic. The smaller, non-heated tables surely have a considerably lower grade cloth and play like slogging though quicksand in comparison.

Perhaps if in a magical world we could set up two tables from the same manufacturer... newly installed and covered with each type of cloth... sitting side-by-side in the same environment. That would be the best way to have someone truly compare... if that person had the skills and sensitivity to even detect a difference!

You hit the nail on the head Dog.My Elitte Pro came with Granito M.What else do I have to compare it to?With so many other variables comparison would be difficult.Maybe Jaspers or Blomdal could tell the differance.

The choice is as simple as choosing between a Lamborghini and a Maserati. One might be a little faster than the other. One might be a little more expensive. One might get off the line a little quicker. One might have a better stereo.

Make a choice. You'll enjoy either one. Keep in mind that most tables have Simonis especially USBA Tournaments since they're a sponsor. But they both play well.
