opinions on fury cues

Bad glue job..... I don't remember but I think the shaft had a small crack under collar ring.
I'm not saying all cues is like these, I'm sure that they have improved the
production but this cue has basically fallen apart even if I have not played
with it at all.
Me and John had a "fight" about this brand earlier, it's not my intention to start
another round - I'm just sharing the pictures with you all this time and that's it.

I am not saying these issues aren't accurate. But having sold hundreds of Fury cues, I don't believe they are representative of the entire brand. It would seem you got a bad cue. When I sold them, I would inspect every cue I got before it went into the showcase. Fury had as low a percentage of cues I sent back as any brand I sold.
I actually had far more problems with some other brands that retail for far more than the Fury cues.
Just an FYI, there are many brands that use "overlays" or decals or painted designs. I doubt you could find a cue under $150 that uses real inlay in their designs. It's a normal feature on most entry level cues. It has absolutely no effect on the way the cue plays.

Actually there is no such thing as painted inlays.
Those are decals which are a standard method of decorating wood items. You can go to www.rockler.com and purchase all sorts of overlays.
The DL (stands for DECAL) line was never ever advertised as being inlaid. On www.fury-cues.com this line is described as having overlays which are defined as decals.
Here is the funny thing about using waterslide decals, they are all applied by hand.
If any of you have ever built models then you know how tough it is to get the decals exactly where you want them before they dry.
Try doing that on a cue. I will bet that 99 out of 100 people her cannot do a four point cue and get the decals straight and even.
Be that as it may, your cue is clearly damaged considerably. There is no telling how it got that way however. If this were the norm for Fury cues then there would be no such thing as Fury cues existing today.
The cue you showed is the exception rather than the rule. I offered to send you a new Fury for you to check out. I failed to do that and for that I apologize.
However that does not change the fact that we sell thousands of Fury cues each year and the vast majority of them hold up great. For the few people that have a problem with their Fury cue the cue is replaced for free.
I give everyone here my personal guarantee that if ANYONE reading this buy a Fury cue any time in 2009 and it develops any problems close to what you have shown within the first year then I will personally buy the cue back at 110% of what you paid for the cue. So buy with confidence and save your receipt.
I have been here in China two years and in that time I have seen the factory go from pretty good to as good as any other production facility on Earth for making cues.
I don't build the cues. But as someone who has been a cue dealer for more than 20 years and someone who stakes his own personal reputation on delivering quality I have every confidence in this brand.
Now, of course you and everyone else probably thinks I have to say that since I get paid by Sterling Gaming who is the North American distributor for Fury cues. But I don't get paid to be a brand shill. I get paid to tell the factory exactly where I think that they are not doing so good and how to improve.
I used your pictures Newton to shame the factory into doing better. Even though I know that the cue you have is a rare occurrence I still told them that I never want to see another customer with a situation any where close to it.
And in conclusion I am incredibly confident that no current Fury cue in Sterling's inventory will ever experience the issues you showed.
In fact I am willing to bet on it.
