My wife bought an Lucassi cue that was around 10 years old...
The shaft on the cue had becomed warped and so she decided to purchase a predator z-2...What she and didn't realize is that Lucassi has changed the pin on the unilock...
The shaft will attach but doesn't fit snug therefore has a lil wobble in it....
So i call Lucassi and mention this to them and this was thier response....There is nothing they will do about it and thats the kind of things that will happen when you buy production cues.....Basically tough sh-t...
I felt like they should have at least met me halfway on this but they wasn't interested in making it right....

Anyone had anything like this happen??

Not sure what you grip is about

Are you upset because the shaft warped or because the Z2 doesn't fit. The Z2 not fitting has nothing to do with Lucasi and the shaft warp after 10 years can't possible their fault.

Am I missing something???

Straighten the Lucasi shaft. Iron the warp out.
It's wood...right?

Steam the shaft. Then, hang it vertically (air dry or kiln dry).

If it isn't a wood shaft, then you are kind of screwed.

You might be able to get a local cue smith to replace the Predator pin thread to match your Lucasi.

My problem is you can't get new shafts for the cue....so if your shaft breaks or warps....too bad as Lucassi says....

They don't make that pin setting anymore....can't be replaced....by the time you get custom work done you could have bought a new cue....
oh well....

Sell the predator shaft, and straighten the Lucasi shaft.

Take it to a pro cue repairman or builder and have the pin changed. There are plenty of great makers and repairmen on here. Check'em out. Or just just but another cue, sounds like Lucasi really appreciates customer....huh?

Sounds like it is time to buy your wife a new present :)
I can also understand if she doesn't want anything else, since she has been shooting with it for 10 years, it is obvious that she likes it a lot. Sorry to hear about your inconvinience.

Happy shooting!:)
