I recently bought a 1 piece titlist that needs to restored. I would like to keep it wrapless if at all possible. Can it be done or will the joint be too small and the points not the correct length. Can a butt section be added?

Measure 29 inches from the end of the butt and see what the diameter is. If it's small, then most likely the cue needs to cut lower and butt section added. I've had two titleist convereted and in both cases, butt section was added so the cue maker has more flexibiilty in evening points and having joint diameter somewher in the range of .850.

In cue gallery, you can see my ebony titleist there. I'd say if you had to add a butt section, you can do use this to "enhance" the style of the cue.

Having said that, I have two Titleist (wrapped) with joint diameter under .800. I'd thought this would be too whippy but they play damn good. One was made by Tim Scruggs and the other one by local cue maker name Larry Mohr (Uncle Larry).
