This may not go too well here, but what the heck...

For sale is a 20oz. Orchid cue. This cue has inlays, and not stickers, overlays, transfers (whatever you want to call them); unlike most of the Orchid cues that I've seen on EBay. It would make a great starter cue, or a cue to take to bars for league etc. I'm not too familiar with who owns this name now, but it is certainly an import cue. It has been played for a couple of racks, and it plays very nicely. The white w/black spec irish linen wrap is very nice considering the price (ok, I was honestly surprised by it :) ). The JPs and velvet(ish?) case in the pics are included. Yes, it rolls straight together and apart. Give it a try, you may be very pleasantly surprised....

$75 shipped via USPS Priority Mail

I am not certain on the darker wood on the butt or points, but the maple forearm has a tiny bit of birdseye to it (hard to see in the pics). And, if anyone can help with Orchids origins I'd appreciate it. I've heard imported by Falcon, and I've heard same company as the current Palmers/Helmstetters (??)...not sure. I can tell you though that it plays well, and IMO better than some $200+ cues I've tried.

I bought this for a buddy (who has an Orchid cue) that now can't pay for it.

Orchid cue was the company Helmstetter used/bought and imported the first adams through. I had one that was marked Orchid USA which I assumed was made here before they were just an importer.

I would not assume that at all. More like imported for the USA.
Decent cue for the money though.

Thanks Orion....the guy who wanted me to buy this (EBay - which I've done for him before because of PayPal) has one stamped Orchid USA on the butt. He saw this on EBay and had to have it (it's fancier than his - his current one has no points), but doesn't think he can come up with $65 til after the holidays....SHEESH. I'm just trying to sell it for that plus $10 shipping. I'm not sure if it'll go on this forum, but I think $75 gets you a pretty nice deal on this cue...

I'll keep it up here for a couple of days, and take it with me to league nights to see if anyone wants it :D

Erine Chen the owner of Falcon Cues also owns Orchid cues and they are imported from Asia, there are many nice models in the line now and this one is one of them.

Thanks DB, that's exactly the info I was looking for....I'd heard that somewhere, but without a reliable source didn't want to repeat it. I don't know much about the cues, but the kid who wanted it said that this type is in the $110-$150ish range at a billiards store in Bloomington (IL).....I haven't seen this brand sold in Peoria. I'm guessing this price point is to go against the pricier Players brand or lower end Lucasi cues. ??? Like I said, seems nice for the $$, and thanks again.
